After loading a plume of raw fibre (flax, sheep wool, etc.) on the cone, with her left hand she gently pulled a small quantity and, at the same time, her right hand spun the spindle, at the end of which there was a whorl, having a biconical shape like those found in Noàl. The latter, working as a flywheel, made the fibre twist and wind around the spindle with a regular and constant motion. Next to her there is an earthenware vase from the late Bronze Age, several fragments of which have been found in Noàl.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image media=”66122″ media_lightbox=”yes” media_width_percent=”100″ alignment=”center” css_animation=”alpha-anim”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_height_percent=”0″ override_padding=”yes” h_padding=”2″ top_padding=”0″ bottom_padding=”4″ overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”3″ column_width_percent=”100″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_custom_heading heading_semantic=”h1″ text_space=”fontspace-111509″ text_font=”font-202503″ text_weight=”300″]Metalworker on the job[/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text text_lead=”yes”]A metalworker, in his small forge (whose position inside the castelliere is marked with a little yellow rectangle on the plan below), worked metals and manufactured various bronze items.
